Amanda Haugan was born and raised in Prince Rupert, British Columbia. After graduating from Prince Rupert Secondary School she moved to Vancouver where she attended the University of British Columbia and earned a Bachelor of Science in Biology with a minor in Arts.  After graduation, she returned home to Prince Rupert and worked for several years for the Federal Government.

Looking for a new adventure, Amanda spent her first year of law school at Bond University in Australia.  Her academic performance was stellar:  she came first in her class in five different areas of law, and was placed on the Vice Chancellor’s List for Academic Excellence.   Amanda moved back to Canada to complete the final two years of her law degree at the University of Toronto where she won an academic prize in one of her courses, and earned her J.D.

Wanting to move closer to her British Columbia roots, Amanda decided to article in Kelowna.  She was called to the British Columbia Bar and practiced at a large Kelowna law firm for over a decade.

In her decade of practice Amanda has focused primarily on solicitor work with an emphasis on estate planning and estate administration. In addition to her wills and estates practice, Amanda has assisted clients with a broad range of solicitor matters including the Purchase and Sale of real estate and businesses, real property and leasing matters, land development, corporate matters, and Strata Property Law. Amanda also has a strong background in, and assists other lawyers with, legal research and drafting.  Amanda is confident with technology and knowledgeable about the latest software to make law more efficient.

When not in the office you will find Amanda at the beach, on the ski hill, gardening, out biking, or out on adventures with her dog.   Her dog hopes to spend some time in the office and has been practicing his manners. When the weather turns,  you will find Amanda inside baking, sewing, watching TV or doing all three at once.
