Tarun Narang was born in Indore, India and grew up on the north side of Edmonton, Alberta. He earned a degree in Medieval & Ancient History and Economics at the University of Alberta. Having worked at an Edmonton law firm as a legal intern sparked his interest in law as a profession and he enrolled in the Dual Canadian/US law degree program with the University of Windsor and the University of Detroit Mercy. Tarun volunteered representing indigent defendants in 36th District Court of Detroit, Michigan and participated in the International Commercial Arbitration Law Firm Program.
Having decided to move to British Columbia, Tarun articled at a small firm in Prince George, British Columbia where he gained significant experience appearing in Provincial Court. He worked for many clients and during his articles travelled to smaller communities in northern British Columbia, including Williams Lake and Dawson Creek, to argue cases for them in Court. Tarun even conducted trials as an articling student. His caring and warm, confident personality lets clients know that they are in good hands when working with him.
Outside of work, Tarun enjoys going to the gym and cooking at home. Outside of the office, you might find Tarun at the gym, on a trail, or at one of the many farmers’ markets in the Okanagan.
