Zach Pashley grew up in Port McNeill, a small town in northern Vancouver Island. After earning an economics degree at UVic with high marks and several scholarships, he won the Law Foundation of British Columbia entrance award for the University of British Columbia’s law school. Zach articled at a full-service national law firm in downtown Vancouver, then practiced at the highly regarded tax law firm Thorsteinssons LLP.

Drawn by the Okanagan lifestyle, Zach moved here several years ago and worked at large law firms in both Kelowna and Vernon. He has advised clients on personal and corporate tax law, commercial transactions, corporate reorganizations, residential real estate, business structuring and estate planning for high net-worth families. Drawing on his background in tax law, he has worked alongside clients’ accountants and other financial advisers to minimize tax consequences.

At Martin Estate and Injury Law, Zach’s practice focuses on estate planning and administration, including wills and trusts, corporate planning, business succession, charitable giving, incapacity planning and probate. He works with individuals, businesses and other organizations to achieve their estate goals.

Zach’s spouse is a dentist in Vernon, and together they enjoy discovering new wineries and restaurants in the Okanagan. He is a former member of his law school’s curling club, and in his younger days he backpacked through Australia, New Zealand and Fiji. He is now an avid skier and proudly holds a season pass at Silver Star. Zach is delighted to work on his golf game at a world-class course like Predator Ridge and welcomes the opportunity to learn from better golfers. He is also a community member of the North Okanagan Clinical Ethics Committee, and he belongs to the Canadian Bar Association – BC Branch Wills and Estates section and the Vernon Estate Planning group.
