Natasha K. Petersen is a Vancouver-based litigator. She attended Western University in Ontario, completing a double degree combined program, earning a Juris Doctor (JD) and an Honours in Business Administration (HBA). Concurrently, she also earned a Certificate in Entrepreneurship and a Global and Intercultural Engagement Honour.
During Law School, Natasha was an oralist for the Philip C. Jessup International Law Moot Court Competition. Her team became the Canadian national champions and also achieved success at the international competition in Washington, D.C. Natasha also studied abroad in Spain and England.
After articling at a large downtown Vancouver business law firm, Natasha practiced for several years at a boutique litigation firm in Vancouver. Natasha’s practice has spanned multiple areas of law, including administrative, aviation, commercial, construction, corporate, employment, insurance, personal injury, product liability, disability, and transportation law. Natasha has advised individual, corporate, and institutional clients through the dispute resolution process and represented clients in BC’s Provincial Court, Supreme Court, and Court of Appeal.
Natasha has been recognized as a Benchmark Litigation Future Star and was named to the 40 & Under Litigation Hot List for Canada.
At Martin Estate and Injury Law, she focuses on personal injury insurance defense cases. Her strategic counsel and risk-management expertise are instrumental in achieving favourable outcomes for her clients.
Beyond her legal career, Natasha is an avid traveller, having explored every continent and over 100 countries. She is also an Ironman All-World Athlete, showcasing her dedication to physical fitness and endurance challenges. Natasha’s diverse interests encompass philosophy, health, experiential education, intercultural engagement, access to justice, and social entrepreneurship, reflecting her multifaceted approach to life and her commitment to positively impacting the world around her.
